Running reins are a training aid used for ridden/flat work that encourage the horse to work in a frame, lower their head, flex at the poll, work on the vertical, engage their hindquarters, and encourage correct muscle development. They go from your hands, through the bit, and attach to the girth - either on each side of the girth or between the horse's front legs. Running reins work by putting pressure on the horse's mouth and poll. They are made from woven cotton webbing and are easy to put on and take off with Velcro tabs. They are lightweight, low maintenance, and easy to clean, as they are machine washable at 30 degrees.
