Rumen Active maximises fibre utilisation in grass-based and high-fibre systems where tannins, terpenes and low-quality roughage can restrict microbial digestion and intake. It supports fibre breakdown, rumen motility and improved rumen fill, helping animals use standing veld, crop residues, high-tannin forage and low-quality hay more efficiently. Polyethylene glycol binds tannins and disrupts tannin-protein complexes. Essential oils stimulate salivation, rumen movement and intake, while prebiotic and probiotic components support fibre-digesting microbes. Calcium hydroxide provides buffer support. Field indicators may include finer fibre in dung, better rumen fill, more uniform grazing and greater use of less-palatable grasses. Recommended inclusion is 4�6 g per head daily for cattle and 0.5 g per head daily for sheep. For optimal function, use with an NPN source and highly available carbohydrates. Reg.
